Mr. Jakob Herter donated two acres of land for the church site and was paid $25.00 for a third acre. There are a number of graves along the west fence that have been covered in blow dirt from an adjoining cultivated field. Church records prior to 1936 are missing and feared lost forever. Information was received from Pastor Emil Krause and taken from grave markers and local history books. Schmidt, 12 Mar 2000 ******************************************************************************* Golden Prairie vicinity, New Kronsfeld Lutheran Cemetery #2 NW 14-15-28-W3 In 1917, Fredrich Zohner donated a two acre parcel of land at this location for use as a cemetery. The cemetery was never registered and was in use for about ten years. Many of the graves were marked with wooden crosses; the only grave with a stone marker was that of Mr. Kuest, the first burial. All evidence of a cemetery at this site disappeared about 1966 when the landowner removed all markers and cultivated the tiny piece of land. Services were held in a country location until about 1944 when a new church was built in the town of Golden Prairie. The congregation was disbanded in May 1955. In April 1997, the cemetery was well kept.
